In dec1th, Mr. Zhao came to NanJing foreign language school GCA. And he introduced something briefly about the SuZhou garden. He is a famous landscape artist. His speech give me deep impression.
Firstly, the word “garden”. It’s called
in chinese many years ago. What’s the most interesting thing is that different parts of the word have different meaning. .For example ,
means the wall
, means the changing of lands
,means the water and means the tree. Almost people knows that English has been extended by Latin, maybe that is why the word “garden” has been created. So how interesting it is.
Then he talked about type of garden. There are four type of Suzhou garden. The first type is imperial family. The second type is the private garden. The third type is the garden of temples and the last type is the places of interest.
In the Suzhou garden. There are many trees in garden, and a lots of small mountains. And a beautiful garden never can not be with out the water. Many different shape lake will in everywhere you can see it. And the rock in the garden is necessary. Different rocks have different color and shape.
Mr. Zhao talks a lot about SuZhou garden. I think ,he is a specialized artist about garden. He know very specific about garden. Maybe this speech will have a little helpful when we grow up. And this speech let us know many Chinese history and culture. He is a good landscape artist. BUT! I think he wasn’t a good lecturer. In fact , his speech is a little boring. Many of student fall into the sleep in the set. He just talk garden knowledge and show us PPT. NO interactive, NO humor . just like some information on the internet. I total don’t like his speech. This is my idea about his speech.
In conclusion, I learnt a lot of things about the garden which I can not learn from our text books. But if he can make speech more interesting , that so much the better. Thank for Mr.zhao and his speech.
